Dr. Zhang Yifang, M.Med  is an Associate Professor and Specialist in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Shanghai East International Hospital. She previously served as China Regional Advisor and Editor for the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia, and is a member of the Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Medical Association's TCM Society.

Dr. Zhang's clinical expertise encompasses body constitution assessment, preventive health and wellness optimization, medicinal dietary therapy, lifestyle medicine, TCM dermatology, allergic disorders, women's health across the lifespan, and common internal medicine conditions.

Hailing from a distinguished multi-generational family of TCM practitioners��both her grandfather and father were nationally renowned physicians��Dr. Zhang has spent over four decades integrating her family's ancestral clinical prescriptions with her own extensive experience. Her practice emphasizes body constitution assessment, preventive care, and sub-health optimization, with a particular focus on achieving holistic balance. She guides her patients toward dynamic equilibrium across the mind-body connection, yin-yang harmony, lifestyle and career balance, and the relationship between the individual and their social and natural environments.

Dr. Zhang has traveled extensively to the United Kingdom and the United States to practice medicine and deliver academic lectures, advancing TCM on the international stage. Using TCM therapies, she has successfully treated local patients with allergies, gynecological conditions, and dermatological disorders, earning widespread recognition and making a significant positive impact in these communities. Her clinical approach represents a distinctive integrative model that combines the strengths of Chinese and Western medicine with other natural therapeutic modalities.

Academically, Dr. Zhang has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers and has authored or co-authored five books, authored / co-authored over 10 academic monographs. Dr. Zhang has participated in two research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the State Education Commission, and three projects funded by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. Over the past 15 years, she has served as chief editor of five English-language TCM books, and contributed to two TCM chapters to anti-aging and longevity monographs published by Springer.
